Future-Grounded Design: Innovative Solutions to Emerging eLearning Design Challenges
Hosted in partnership with LearningMate.
The 2020 pandemic highlighted the need for flexible, just-in-time learning design. Many educators found themselves designing courses and lessons “for now.” Instead of designing for now, how can we design with a lens towards the future when the future is unknown? Learn how National Education Partners (NEP), National University’s Workforce Education Solutions, and LearningMate partnered for a challenging task: ensure a quality hybrid online learning experience through the redesign of an in-person, 8-hour training workshop for law enforcement officers. This webcast provided insights into design challenges, collaborative efforts, stakeholder buy-in, strategies for a future design lens, and scalable learning object designs for potential reuse throughout the larger university system.
