As part of that program, she built and then subsequently grew the instructional media team, and currently oversees Wiley’s US learning design and media teams. Prior to joining Wiley, Christina spent over 10 years in the online learning industry, from designing interactives for organizations like the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to managing the development of global e-learning courses for Fortune 500 clients.

David Capranos is the director of market strategy and research at Wiley Education Services. In his role managing the market research team, David conducts extensive research to identify demand, market opportunities, and potential challenges to ultimately highlight academic programs that align with current demand. His team plays a vital role in determining the viability of educational programs in the online market and helping universities stay ahead of industry and market trends. David has a background as a business analyst in higher education marketing, evaluating marketing tactics, and helping implement technologies such as a student relationship management and project management system.

Jason Rhode

Jason Rhode (pronounced “Roady”) is currently executive director of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning at Northern Illinois University. In his role at NIU, Jason serves as chief online learning officer and provides strategic leadership and long-range vision for development and delivery of online education. He also holds a joint faculty appointment in the Department of Educational Technology, Research and Assessment at NIU where he develops and teaches courses and conducts research in instructional design and educational technology administration.

Shannon Riggs serves as associate vice provost of educational programs and learning innovation for Oregon State University in the Division of Educational Ventures. Shannon is responsible for strategically expanding educational programs and credentials across Oregon State’s campuses and education platforms, including online degree programs and shorter-term alternative credentials. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Quality Matters and is the past chair of the WCET Steering Committee.
