“Waze” to Find the Detours and Fast Lanes to Understand New U.S. Department of Education Guidance and Regulations
*Exclusively for Members*
This WCET and SAN member-only webcast gave attendees real-time updates on emerging Federal actions regarding postsecondary digital learning.
In 2023, the U.S. Department of Education drove an unusually high number of digital and distance learning oversight activities. In late October, the Department released two new regulations that will have a big impact on institutions serving students in other states: 1) professional licensure and certification and 2) adherence to state institutional closure requirements and the impact that has on reciprocity. Speakers focused on those two issues and shared a little about what they saw coming around the corner.
